Expressions Of The Heart

 

It's sometimes difficult to express your heart,

or you simply may not know just where to start.

 

So let me offer a little advice,

to start you towards a fulfilling life.

 

You start with love and add good cheer,

and find someone to hold most dear.

 

Give your best to God above

and share your blessings with those you love.

 

Be tender and kind

and be not afraid to voice the goodness of your heart and mind.

 

So from the beginning as you start

look to God for "Expressions of the Heart".

 

 

The Seed of Greatness

 

There is within you a seed of greatness that God and I do know,

and He beckoned me to nurture it, to help to make it grow.

 

So I tended it with gentle care and watered it with love,

and asked my loving Father to send his blessing from above.

 

Then the little seed began to grow and without hesitation I knew,

that life would never be the same without the love you.

 

That little seed has now blossomed into a flower as great as great can be,

and I shall always be thankful to God for sending you to me.

 

 

God's Gift

 

When it was dark and I asked for light,

God gave me stars to brighten the night.

 

And with the dawn he brought the sun,

and added laughter to make life fun.

 

So I asked for a song and abird appeared,

as I asked for beauty a rose grew near.

 

Then I asked for hope

and blue skies came into view.

 

At last, I asked for Love

and God sent me "You"

 

(May God Bless You and keep You in his care.)

 

 

Together

 

As trouble comes our way,

it serves no purpose to hide or run away.

 

The love we share will carry us through,

as long as you reach out to me and I reach out to you.

 

So your troubled don't despair,

just be assured that I am there.

 

And when the turmoil has finally past,

life will change and happiness will come at last.

 

For then our dreams will have come true,

for you have demonstrated your love for me and I have shown the same for you.

 

 

Both Sides

 

There is within me a fear of the unknown.

There is within me a person who wants to feel at home.

 

I sometimes who I am and what will become of me.

I often feel like running away for none the world to see.

 

If only clouds would disappear and drive away the gloom,

then song could open up my heart with a gentle happy tune.

 

There is within me a person fighting hard to put aside all fear.

A person who with your love can and will persevere.

 

The person who I am is not perfect to be sure,

but just like everyone else, I can learn to accept myself in order to endure.

 

I have hope and dreams, yearning to be set free,

but they can only become a reality if you go on loving me.

 

 

Doubt

 

Doubt is used by tose to undermine,

your confidence and chance for peace of mind.

 

It is a manipulative technique,

to steal your self-esteem and disturb your restful sleep.

 

This method of control,

is a subtle way to make you feel less whole.

 

So to the world I will shout,

just how much I love you, to wash away all doubt.

 

Then peace will come because you will know,

jus how much I love you so.

 

(Do Not let Doubt rob you of Your God Given Potential.)

 

 

Moonlight Embrace

 

The moonlight falls gently on your face,

softly highlighting it's beauty and grace.

 

I gaze into those lovely eyes,

and once more they stir my heart's desire without suprise.

 

My arms reach out and we slip into a sweet embrace,

as I tenderly kiss your starlit face.

 

Time swiftly passes and you slip away,

as we are forced tosay good night until another day.

 

 

Home

 

The telephone sits quitely on the stand

and no one is here to hold my hand.

 

There is a chill about this place

that can only be warmed by your embrace.

 

How can I escape the longing from within

when our life cannot begin.

 

Our sky is grey as you run away

and I am left without words to say.

 

Is this what life is meant to be

or is it that you are unable to see.

 

What lies ahead is yet unknown,

but if you are at my side I'll be at Home.

 

 

A Woman of Substance

 

As I gaze into her lovely soft eyes, I found the innocence and wonderment of a child within.

How do I describe this woman, where do I begin?

 

Here is a lady of quality, a woman of substance to be sure.

A woman who has faced the hardships of life and learned, she can endure.

 

She is a loving woman with gentle ways,

plus wit and charm to brighten any day.

 

Yet sorrow has touched her life,

and caused her pain and considerable strife.

 

I wanted to reach out and say,

God bless you and I'm so thankful that you came my way.

 

 

A New Day   

 

A new day dawns and the light softly creeps across my bed.

It beckons me to rise, but I am reluctant, so I close my eyes and res my head.

 

Shall I through back the covers to brave the dawn as my feet touch the coolness of the floor,

or shall I retreat back into apprehension and seclusion once more.

 

The night was restless, but now I am awake,

so I will brave this day and give it all it takes.

 

 

(Each night eventually give way to daylight

and each day is a preciou gift that should not be wasted.)
